Gatesmen play a crucial role in the the construction and security industry by controlling access to a facility, site or property through the operation of gates, barriers, and other security systems. They are responsible for monitoring and controlling the flow of people and vehicles in and out of a facility and for maintaining the security of the property.


They work closely with other members of the security team, such as security guards and security supervisors, and they may also be responsible for performing other security-related duties. Whilst working on a construction site as a traffic marshall, or gatesman you will also work with site management to ensure the site visitors have all required tickets and safety gear to be on site
